How do we come up with this top 100 list?
For this Top 100 list, we’ve compiled an overview of agencies that specialize in web development (websites and online stores).
For each agency, we have included at least three cases for which we created the website.
For example, we analyzed a total of nearly 500 websites.
What data did we use?
We ran several analyses for each website. These were based on data from Ahrefs and Data for SEO—two well-known companies that provide high-quality SEO data.
We watched:
- Technical Accuracy of the Homepage
- Website Traffic Volume
- Number of backlinks from the websites
- Number of top rankings for websites
So when we talk about websites, we mean the agency’s own website and those of at least three of the agency’s clients.

For this dataset, we used the following weights.

- Impact of agency cases: 60%
The agency website counts for only 40% because there is one agency site and at least three case study websites.
Data
- Impact of Data on SEO: 60%
- Ahrefs’ Influence: 40%
Data for SEO carries more weight because it includes technical factors, traffic, and backlinks. Ahrefs does not provide data on technical correctness at this level.
